A Classic Celebration Styled By Love 2 Love

Modern Wedding Posted: November 27, 2017

C L A I R E   &   B E A U

They’d been in love for as long as they could remember, so a classic celebration filled with personal touches was the perfect representation of their story.

A Classic Celebration

“We wanted a wedding for adults,” recalls Claire. “Something classic yet modern at the same time: nothing too cute or trendy. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that a wedding is about two people and should reflect both of your personalities and styles. The brief was met by Love 2 Love exactly!”

The stylish couple married in a simple ceremony at Carriageworks in Sydney. “It was perfect,” says Claire. “The sun was streaming through the huge arched windows and the minimalist styling really let the beautiful room shine. We loved every second.”

The bride was striking and sublime in her long sleeved sheath by Houghton NYC. She carried a vivid bouquet of dahlias, succulents, foliage and berries.

Once they were pronounced husband and wife, the celebrations began. “As our ceremony was held just upstairs from our reception, we were able to have cocktails and canapés almost straight away.” The historic nature of the Carriageworks building was an ideal choice to reflect their lives in Sydney and both their styles. “We always wanted something industrial,” notes Claire.

The stunning space was effortlessly decorated with crisp white linen, bentwood chairs and grey napkins, with gold cutlery adding a touch of luxury. Festoon lights were strung from the rafters, large foliage installations and personalised signage provided a touch of artistic flair and striking floral arrangements in tones of plum, deep red and vibrant green added colour, creating the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
