Inspired to showcase the beauty of Perth, this couple opted for a timeless colour palette of neutrals with blush and a hint of sparkle.
“The majority of our guests travelled from the UK and Ireland, and we also had people coming from New Zealand and the east coast of Australia, so we really wanted to make the most of Perth,” reveals Carly. “We wanted a day that was pretty and elegant. Dawn from Luxx Weddings and Events was wonderful. Every idea she suggested was exactly what we were after!”
Married in a personalised ceremony by the Swan River at Matilda Bay Reserve, the two lovebirds made the most of the day by starting their reception straight after with a marquee, canapés and live music. “It meant a lot to us to have our family involved in the ceremony,” recalls Carly.
“It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to have so many friends and family together. The setting was so beautiful. We really wanted to show off what a beautiful part of the world we live in!”
During the day, their marquee and wicker furniture was white, with flowers and cushions adding brighter hues for a sense of fun and romance. Later on, they joined their guests at the Matilda Bay restaurant for a lavish formal dinner, speeches and plenty of dancing. “We had a wonderful stylist who took care of everything for us,” she notes. “Everything was kept very neutral and simple, with light champagne accents, a pop of colour in the centrepieces and plenty of candles to set the mood.”
