A wedding on a summer Sydney day was made perfect with pastel decor, luxury details, the sparkling harbour and dreamy photography.

Wedding photographer…
What do you love about your wedding photos? The happiness on everyone’s faces, the way the photographs genuinely reflect how we are as a couple and the way in which the photos tell a story of that wonderful and sunny day.
We first met…
At a dinner through mutual friends. After that, we started to meet up just the two of us for hot chocolates and dinner dates.
We knew it was love…
When we wanted to spend so much time with each other that Alex would often go home in the middle of the night, after tucking me into bed and waiting until I had fallen asleep.
The proposal…
We got engaged in January 2015. We were in Tasmania for a short holiday. Alex took me to a lavender field and got down on one knee, pretending to take a photograph of me. He then surprised me by pulling out a beautiful ring, asking me to marry him!
The wedding dream…
We wanted a natural and simple wedding with a floral, pastel colour theme.
Ceremony venue…
St Clements Anglican Church, a beautiful church in Mosman.
Reception venue…
We celebrated our reception at Sergeants Mess.
Bridal party…
We had 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. The bridesmaids consisted of Steph’s long time friends from her teenage years, university and also Alex’s sister. Alex’s groomsmen were his brother and close friends from both his former and current workplace.
They wore…
Long dusty rose pink dresses from Review.
Groomsmen wore…
Grey suits from Roger David.
The wedding dress…
I had two wedding gowns on our wedding day, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. The first gown I wore for the ceremony was from Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner. It was a full length lace beaded gown with a long train. My second gown was a silk and lace gown made by Anna Campbell.
Wedding flowers…
I wanted a lovely rustic bouquet which included roses, peonies and anemones. Our florist chose a beautiful selection of seasonal blooms which complimented our pastel colour theme.
Decor…
We chose to have a lighter lunch reception and wanted the venue to look bright and happy. The tables were decorated with soft tealight candles and flowers in shades of cream, peach and pink.
On the menu…
Our guests had a sit-down meal consisting of:
Entree
Prawn tortellini, grilled octopus, tomato ad lemon dressing; or Slow roast pork belly, apple butter and shaved brussels sprout salad
Main
Eschallot crust barramundi filler, potato puree, asparagus ad chive beurre blanc; or Roast beef sirloin, chimichurri butter, beetroot and sauté potatoes
Dessert
Wedding cake and selection of petits fours from a dessert buffet table filled with mini desserts.
Bonbonniere…
We gave our guests mini glass jar soy candles hand made by us. They were either champagne and strawberries or nectarine and mint scented. We enjoyed the process of making them and started three months before the big day!
Memorable moments…
We will never forget our first dance. Every time we hear our song, How long will I love you by Ellie Goulding on the radio, we look at each other, smile and without saying anything, know that we are reminded of that moment.
Wedding Soundtrack
We let our band, the Baker Boys Band select our wedding soundtrack for the day.

The honeymoon…
Niyama, Maldives. It was the most amazing experience we have had together. We stayed in an over water bungalow, steps away from the crystal clear oceans.
Plans for the future…
To start a family in the near future but until then, to travel, eat and enjoy each others presence.
In 40 years you hope to…
Continue enjoying each other’s company and to remember to love each other every day.

How can couples best enjoy their engagement…
Take as long as you need to in preparing for the wedding. Enjoy being engaged, before all the planning starts to kick in!
Planning advice…
Stay true to what you love. Make decisions together as a couple and as early as possible to avoid getting stressed out later!
How o make the most of the wedding…
Sit back and enjoy the day! Remember that the most important thing is that you are marrying the love of your life. Everything else is just the icing on the cake!
