The Meeting…
Lito and I were introduced to one another through mutual friends shortly after I returned from living in Seattle, USA for 5 years.
Love…
Lito and I knew we had something very special and a strong connection on our very first date. After a romantic candle lit dinner at Sanctuary Cove, we continued talking well into the night (or wee hours of the morning), losing track of time at the marina, talking about everything and anything – there was no awkwardness and it was as if we had known each other for a lifetime.
The Proposal…
Lito proposed on bended knee while we were on vacation in Vancouver, Canada in 2014 at the Fairmont Castle.
Wedding Style…
Classic, elegant, timeless and fun with a colour palette of golds, mahogany, pinks etc.

The Dress…
I chose a Pronovias gown from Brides of Brisbane which was altered to accentuate my figure and accommodate my height. My inspiration was to select a gown which was classic and elegant whilst still being modern.
Bridesmaids…
Nude pink multi-way bridesmaid dresses that allowed each maid to wear it in a way that best accentuated her own figure.
Groom & Groomsmen…
Groom wore a bespoke black tuxedo tailored by Black Jacket Suits, custom hand crafted velvet bow tie and black button suspenders; groomsmen wore black tuxedos and custom hand crafted velvet bow ties.
Wedding Styling…
Our colour theme was gold, white with some pinks and wood tones mixed in. For our guest tables we had white tablecloths with mahogany tiffany chairs, white and pink floral centrepieces, with gold accents in the candlesticks and the table numbers. Our bridal table featured gold sequin table cloths, and mahogany tiffany chairs. We wanted the mood of the room to feel intimate and romantic and to add to this feel there were lots of candles on guest tables, the bridal table, tealight candles hung from the beams and were scattered all around the room.
On the Menu…
Appetizers – Witches Chase goat cheese tortellini with lavender beurre blanc, parmesan and pine nuts
alternating with
Butter poached prawns with calamari cream and celeriac and apple salad
Mains – Victorian rack of lamb with potato gratin, roasted swede and baby brocolini, garlic chips and lamb jus,
alternating with
Grass fed beef striploin with garlic mashed potato, french beans, red onion marmalade and red wine jus
Dessert – Wedding cake (chocolate hazelnut or white chocolate mudcake with chocolate ganache filling, served with berry coulis.
Special Memories…
Lito secretly organised for two ballerinas (who have performed in the Queensland Ballet) to perform to “All of Me” by John Legend after the conclusion of the speeches. It was a complete surprise and one that was so heart felt given that Lito knew my love of ballet.
Wedding Photography…
Lito and I choose Van Middleton because we loved his style and his creativity. Van seems to see the world a little differently and his ability to capture timeless moments with such creativity appealed to how we wanted our wedding to be captured. Van’s ability to accurately portray the essence of the day/night with such beauty from beginning to end is something that we will be always grateful for.

We chose to have a ‘staycation’ showing our overseas guests the beauty of Australia (from Noosa to Byron Bay and everywhere in between).
