The best bridal looks are always finished with perfectly paired, exquisite jewellery. Complementing a bridal gown with the right accessories is an art in itself, so it’s only fitting that two of Australia’s finest fashion artists show us how it’s done. Justin Linney, Creative Director of leading Australian fine jeweller Linneys, and distinguished haute couture designer Steven Khalil, present a series of collaborations this April to celebrate diamond month. And so far it’s been a match made in couture bridal heaven!

Their collaboration began earlier this April at Steven Khalil’s S/S collection that launched at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia. Models looked stunning dressed not only in Steven’s new collection, but also in specially chosen jewels from the Linney’s range. Modern Wedding spoke with Justin while he was in town for the show and he couldn’t be happier with the collaboration, “We’re thrilled to be working with Steven Khalil on Carats & Couture… It was just a natural fit. He’s such an incredibly talented designer, he is known around the world for quality craftsmanship and exquisite designs.”
The ‘Carats & Couture’ exhibition was launched with an exclusive event that transformed the Linneys Subiaco showroom into a wedding dream. “The idea behind the exhibition was to showcase a curated collection of bespoke jewellery and couture fashion in one location in Perth, so that brides feel welcome to come in and take a look around.” says Justin. Together, Justin Linney and Steven Khalil styled the looks to be featured with Linneys jewellery. Justin notes, “We will be showcasing a number of different looks, using Steven’s designs and our jewellery along with a few different other elements like flowers to appeal to every bride-to-be, from the fairytale bride, to vintage lovers, right through to the more modern, contemporary brides.”

Steven Khalil flew to Perth exclusively for Linneys to launch the exhibition which includes the Finale Wedding Gown from his debut at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. A hero dress designed by Steven Khalil that has never before been seen in Australia was flown to Perth from Los Angeles to be displayed.
To celebrate the collaboration, Linneys will also launch a capsule collection of beautiful bridal jewellery, engagement rings and wedding bands handcrafted by an award winning team of designers and jewellers. Linneys will also give customers who purchase a diamond engagement ring between 17 April – 31 May $1,000 to spend on wedding bands.
