Ayu and Jovan’s Luxe Day – Styled by One Day Your Way

Modern Wedding Posted: February 6, 2018

A Luxe Love

{ One Day Your Way }

Enchanted by the possibility of an intimate city celebration, these lovers chose a romantic colour palette of pink, white and gold.

“Originally I wanted to get married back home in Indonesia, but we loved the idea of a smaller, more intimate wedding. We met with Ange and Katie of One Day Your Way eight months before the wedding and straight away we clicked with them,” recalls Ayu. “They listened to all our requests and everything turned out even more beautifully than we expected.”

Pretty pink, white and gold details

They married in a heartfelt ceremony at St Ignatius Catholic Church in Richmond, holding the ceremony in their native language; so that all their families could appreciate its intricacies. Ayu was utterly radiant in an ivory mermaid gown created by her talented cousin. “I loved every detail on the dress,” she reveals. “Especially the delicate embroidery.” Holding a traditional bouquet of blousy white blooms and flanked by her maids in shades of salmon, she truly was picture perfect.

They celebrated their reception at Lumiere in South Melbourne. “From the moment guests came through the door, we asked for a statement and we got it!” exclaims Ayu. “The design was opulent and ambient and laced with ‘wow’ moments.” An ombré design incorporating shades of pink and ivory created an exquisite, classical vibe.

“Tables were adorned with large blooms in transparent vessels edged in gold. Complete with gold beaded charger plates and fine stationery.”

“The bridal table was to die for,” notes Ayu. “A three metre ombré floral garland and three ceiling installations of florals, greenery and cherry blossoms was the finishing touch.”
