Classic elegance, timeless charm and a pop of bling were the foundations for Bec + Callum’s tropical Queensland wedding, set in the most perfect glass chapel.
A Musical Meeting…
Bec and Callum first met at a music festival and have been inseparable ever since. “Our first date started off as breakfast and then we enjoyed each other’s company so much that we ended up having lunch and then dinner together”, says Bec.
Ten years after their first meeting Callum asked Bec to be his forever on a picnic in the gorgeous Gold Coast hinterland.
The Most Magnificent Glass Chapel…
The couple tied the knot in tranquil Queensland, making it official at the private chapel on the lush grounds of the Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove. “We live nearby and loved the area. The glass chapel sealed the deal for us, oh, and did I mention the food there is AMAZING!”.
Mermaid Magic…
“I had always had my heart set on a mermaid gown. After searching all over the coast and Brisbane for the perfect dress I had made a trip to Sydney. Unsuccessful again, I made another trip to Melbourne in my search. It was a task which felt like it was never going to end!”
Eventually, Bec found the Raffaele Ciuca dress of her dreams and with a few alterations made it her own. “I finally decided on the gown about 2 hours before my flight left. I didn’t have enough time to purchase the gown then and there so the ladies quickly took my measurements and took down the details of the dress and I called them on the Monday to order it.” She shone in layers of tulle and lace and added extra elements of each to the off the shoulder straps and décolletage of the gown.
The Big Day…
“I don’t think we can name just one favourite part of the day. We were both just happy once we were at the altar. We were incredibly lucky that everything went according to plan. The best part was having all of our closest friends and family with us on our big day”, said Bec.
And tips for brides-to-be… “RELAX! Just enjoy the day. Don’t let little things get to you in the lead up or on the morning of. At the end of the day, if you are married that’s all that matters”.
