Get to know… InterContinental Sydney

Modern Wedding Posted: October 24, 2014

InterContinental-Sydney,-Treasury-Steps

Few feelings compare with the delight of arriving in the lobby of a luxury hotel. Warm and inviting, it is a welcome sight for exotic travellers and also a place of excited anticipation for the honoured guests of a bride and groom…

There is a certain prestige that accompanies a wedding celebration in one of Sydney’s top hotels and the InterContinental Sydney is certainly at the very top. The hotel of choice for royalty, international dignitaries and political elites, the InterContinental Sydney boasts views over Sydney Harbour in a location steeped in history.

If you’re a Sydneysider then InterContinental is your luxurious locale. With a dedicated events team and a range of rooms and packages the InterContinental Sydney has more to offer than you think.

InterContinental-Sydney-Treasury-Room

This architectural beauty will awe your guests the second they enter the sandstone cortile with a glass roof exposing the colours of the sky by day or the city lights by night. The grand architecture continues through to the stately Treasury Room, one of three unique spaces within the hotel where you can hold your wedding. The Treasury Room is the perfect venue for intimate weddings with regal décor encompassing a gold leaf foyer, sandstone portico and large period windows.

InterContinental Sydney Wedding Ballroom

The James Cook ballroom caters for larger celebrations with the same historic character, while modern brides will love the intimate contemporary Harbour Room. The penthouse style Harbour Room sits 31 levels up with amazing views over the Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens.

Intercontinental Sydney
