Every bride and groom describes their wedding as the best day of their life, and for us it certainly was too. Each carefully planned detail by Oh Perfect Day was beautiful and magical and captured perfectly the look and feel we wanted to create while celebrating with our guests. The decisions we made about our day, from the music, to the food (and drinks!) to the venue and every item brought in to style it, was designed with our much loved family and friends in mind. We wanted them to have a truly memorable and most of all incredibly fun night out and the non-stop dancing showed we nailed it!
There were so many beautiful moments throughout the day, but perhaps the greatest was seeing each other in the church for the first time and the overwhelming sense of joy we felt – captured forever in the amazing shots taken by Jerome Cole. The beautifully delivered speeches were also a highlight, and our choreographed dance in front of the incredible letter lights created by Oh Perfect Day. To be surrounded by such beauty, love, and so many smiles and laughter, is something that will stay with us forever.
My wedding gown was made by Pronovias from Raffaele Ciuca. It featured a fitted embroidered and beaded bodice with delicate lace around the neckline, and a trumpet skirt made of tulle with organza frills. The cathedral-length veil was also by Raffaele Ciuca.
The second dress, necessary to be able to bust a move on the dance floor, was the Orchid Lace Prima Ballerina dress by Carla Zampatti. It featured a hand-sewn orchid applicay and high-low hem tulle detail with a deep V-cut back.

{Jane of Oh Perfect Day}
Laurelle and Tim’s elegant, Melbourne CBD wedding saw classic glamour meet modern, urban styling in a spectacular celebration held atop one of the city’s most iconic buildings.
A traditional and heartfelt ceremony in the beautiful Toorak Uniting Church was followed by fun and festivities in impressive, industrial-style venue Alto, which features sweeping city views. A colour palette of glam gold, sophisticated navy and a hint of the palest pink was paired with luscious white and pale pink blooms and abundant greenery, contrasting with the clean lines of the modern space.
Light was in focus with festoons dripping down the floor to ceiling windows, huge gold lamps adorning the lounge area and giant, custom-made marquee, ‘DANCE’ letter lights making the perfect backdrop for the couple’s fabulous first dance. Tables and shelves were covered in hundreds of candles flickering in clusters of cylindrical hurricanes while the outdoor terrace tables were adorned with gold brass lanterns.
Beautiful, industrial Edison-style globes hung above long feasting tables adorned with lush garlands and hundreds of tea-lights. The spectacular tablescapes featured contemporary ‘ghost’ chairs and were finished with glam, gold charger plates. The venue’s impressive, gold bar was a focal point, with stunning, giant arrangements of creamy florals and lush foliage interspersed with candlelight adorning the beautiful metallic countertop.
Custom-designed signs featuring elegant, navy script fonts sat atop gold easels, while a gorgeous, two tier cake featuring a gold lustre tier and a tier of cream ruffles was placed on a gold cake stand against a festoon backdrop.
