How To Have A Stress Free Wedding Day

Modern Wedding Posted: April 18, 2017

Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life, so a few jitters are inevitable. We share five top tips that will help keep stress at bay to ensure you enjoy big day.

Stress Free Wedding

More from this shoot here!

It is inevitable that you will experience some stress organising and creating your wedding. No doubt there will be things left until the last minute simply because they can’t be completed earlier, for example, some flower arrangements, and something always seems to be forgotten in the hustle and bustle. And to keep everything in perspective, you will not be the only one that this has ever happened to.

Here are our five top tips to help make your day as stress-free as possible.

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

It may be the hardest thing to do with all of the butterflies fluttering around in your stomach the night before your wedding but it is better to be rested to fully enjoy your big day. Try to get as much sleep as possible the night before. To ease the jitters and to relax the mind, try some meditation to calm you down and help get a good night’s sleep.

Eat Something

Sure, you have probably spent months dieting and exercising to look absolutely perfect in your wedding dress but the wedding day is like a marathon and you will need fuel to maintain your stamina and enjoy every minute without fading. Try to eat a breakfast that you enjoy and you know will sustain you until you can re-charge your energy levels at the reception. If you are not a breakfast person, pack an energy bar in your purse and do not forget to pack water, especially if your wedding is outdoors or in summer.

Pack Some Flats

You might have the most sexy, perfect pair of shoes for your big day but sometimes they can be a killer for your feet. Pack a pair of ballet flats that are still classy because chances are, you will want your heels for the ceremony and the photos, but something more comfy for all the dancing at the reception. You can switch back and forth between the stilettos and the flats easily throughout the day depending on whichever you feel is more appropriate at the time.

Trust In Others

You have planned every aspect of your wedding from the selection of the meal down to the smallest wedding favour so understandably, on the big day a bride cannot worry about every little detail. Trust your family, friends and vendors; they are there to take care of you and make sure your day is perfect.

Take a Moment

The big day will go quickly so take a moment, relax, and enjoy all your hard work! Really soak in the love from your family and friends and most of all, take a quiet moment to share it all with your spouse.
