Modern Wedding: Tell us a little bit about yourself
Lina: Lina Bteddini – Florist/ stylist for Chanele Rose Flowers. Our style is predominately Luxe Eclectic Boho
Modern Wedding: How did you get started as a stylist?
Lina: Just over ten years ago after my daughter ”Chanele Rose” was born I started my business in Floral designing for Weddings and special events. I found my absolute passion in styling photo shoots whilst trying to show Brides how to think outside of the box when coming to styling for their weddings. I recall my first photo shoot was a huge hit and I was inspired to
Create more unique and original styling trends. Over the years we have taken part in styling for some seriously stunning magazine shoots and Bridal shoots along with Drool worthy weddings we are so proud of!
Modern Wedding: What colours and colour palette combinations do you love for next 12 months?
Lina: I see a trend of beautiful colour combinations such as muted nude tones with pops of bright or deeper colours are here to stay… Plain single colours are a thing of the past now, Brides are opting for a combination of textures and moody colour palettes so much more these days.
Modern Wedding: What are your favourite new styling trends for 2018/2019?
Lina: Taking the outdoors – In! Brides opting for lush greenery and hanging floral installations to set a vibe inside their wedding receptions spaces which has taken off to a whole new level with a magical feel of an enchanted forest.
Modern Wedding: What are your five favourite styling elements to work with right now and why?
Lina: We love working with natural earthy elements, such as clay urns, linen fabrics, Woven charger plates, or adding hints of metallic cutlery, crystal stemware and also lush wilder organic- unstructured florals.
Modern Wedding: What are your top 3 tips for brides wanting to create unique wedding style?
Lina: I always tell our brides to include personal items in their weddings.
It is important that the wedding is about them and not necessarily the latest wedding trends. Also its important to choose a Location and gown that fits in your style. I also think its important to connect with your wedding suppliers and ensure they fully understand your vision so that they can help you bring it all to life for you.
Modern Wedding: If you were designing your own wedding, how would you style it?
Lina: I see so many weddings I love its so hard to pick a favourite style however I know firstly I would allow my bridesmaids to choose their own gowns that they all feel comfortable in! I just love mis-matched bridesmaids gowns anyways. Also I would love to find a beautiful reception venue underneath the stars such as a marquee or a Vintage french house such as Deux Belettes or Milton park with a beautiful open spaces.. My gown would be effortlessly romantic and flowy with soft ruffles to the floor.
Their would be flowers everywhere, in the mostly lushest of combinations- and Hopefully it would take place late November wedding when Peonies and Hydrangeas are at their peek season..
