Happy Friday Modern Wedding Brides! Well, do we have a treat for you this afternoon… the conclusion to our gorgeous Tangled inspired shoot. The movie Tangled is a little unlike its fairytale predecessors, in that we see the romance blossom, the story unfold and the beautiful conclusion… but all without the magical wedding! “We were really surprised when we realised there wasn’t a wedding in the movie,” says Clarissa Lum of Clarzzique Photography. “Most Disney princess movies end with a wedding. So we decided it was the perfect opportunity to come up with how we imagined Rapunzel and Ryder’s wedding would be like.” They imagined every detail, from the event styling, to the hair and makeup… even the location. “I’m sure we weren’t the only ones who started wondering what the ideal Tangled wedding would look like!”
They chose a palette of soft pastel pink and pale purple, with highlights of lemon and white, for a fresh spring-time feel. “We aimed to create a colour palette that was consistent with the movie,” says Floral & Event Stylist Lina Bteddini of Chanele Rose Flowers. The main styling aspects were hessian, lace and pearls, with quirky hanging fruit and paper pin wheels. “The wedding brings us that ‘Happily Ever After’ that we all yearn for,” says Lina. “It was an absolute joy to see it come to life.”
“I just love the contrast of the two opposing textures: soft lace/satin against rough hessian,” says Lina. “We decided to incorporate some beautiful vintage furniture, some of which I reupholstered myself.” They focused on the details, choosing a range of florals in mason jars and tin pails rather than one central centrepiece. “The snow white baby’s breath right next to the bright colours of the other flowers and the pretty jars makes it all the more lovely to look at!”
Congratulations to the incredibly talented and creative team that brought Rapunzel and Flynn’s wedding to life. Now that’s what we call a happy ending!! 🙂
