Classic elegance with a hint of gold were the foundations for this timeless wedding in a Texan Bell Tower.
Scientific soul mates…
Elyse and Joshua’s story began in a high school biology class. They were put next to each other on the seating chart and their relationship started from there. These high school sweethearts went on to attend college together and the rest is history!
A full circle…
Josh proposed to Elyse in the very same classroom where their love story began! He took her back to the biology room and proposed right next to their old desks. To add to the surprise, family and friends were hiding in the classroom closet and burst out after Elyse said yes!
A gown fit for a princess…
Taking inspiration from the bridal style of the Royals, Elyse set about searching for her dream dress for her timeless wedding. “I thought I wanted a wedding dress that was the exact replica of Kate Middleton’s, but when I put on a similar gown, I looked like my grandmother! When I tried on my dress, I absolutely loved the style and it just felt right for me, even though it wasn’t what I had originally envisioned. With the help of an amazing seamstress, I was even able to design a new illusion neckline on my dress that was reminiscent of Kate’s. I got my fairy tale dress after all!”
Relationship wisdom…
For Elyse and Joshua, love is more of an action than a feeling. “The best way a couple can show love to one another is by consistently serving one another and putting the other before themselves. By doing this, you are creating a loving bond that will last a lifetime!”
Dance floor memories…
The couple’s standout moment from the day was being out on the dance floor with all their closest friends and family!
On reflection…
When asked what she would change if she could re-do her timeless wedding, Elyse would reserve some private time for her and Joshua, a stolen moment to reflect on the day.
“If I could do it all over again, I would schedule in a few minutes after the ceremony for just the two of us to soak in the moment!”
Have your cake and eat it too…
Elyse’s top tip for future brides? “Have someone pack you extra cake and put it in your getaway car!”
