A rustic, beachside wedding under the glowing light of the Palm Beach Lighthouse..
A backside encounter…
Casey spotted Zanna on a night out in Manly almost 7 years ago and was instantly attracted to his future wife’s perky behind. “We were both out with friends and got introduced to one another. He actually spotted me and said to his friends that he had to meet me. He turned to his friend and said ‘that girl has the best butt I have ever seen!’, We got introduced and never looked back. We still laugh about it to this day!” Zanna says.
Mother always knows best…
Casey popped the question on the couple’s special little rock at Palm Beach Lighthouse, overlooking Pittwater. But the day wasn’t all smooth sailing, with pouring rain putting a damper on his upcoming plans. “It was a rainy morning on our anniversary that Casey told me that we were going up to the Lighthouse for a walk. Earlier that morning he had been freaking out to his Mum that it was raining. She told him that, it will pass and the sun will come out”. And she was right…
A waterside wedding…
When deciding where to tie the knot there was no question as to where the couple wanted to celebrate their special day. “We knew straight away that we wanted to get married at The Palm Beach Boathouse so we went straight there and didn’t even bother going anywhere else” said Zanna. The couple planned a light filled, rustic celebration with abundant fresh produce displays, white roses and white lanterns, complete with love quotes dotted around the venue and enjoyed a night of eating, laughing, drinking and dancing under glowing festoon lighting.
Blush and Blue…
The couple kept their bride tribe small, with a bridal party of 8 of their closest friends and family. Zanna’s 4 bridesmaids wore blush pink silk Lisa Brown dresses, whilst Casey and his groomsmen all wore light blue suits paired with a white tie.
The one…
Zanna knew that her gown was the one the moment she tried it on and bought a strapless, mermaid style Pronovias gown from Marry Me Bridal in Mosman. “I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. The moment I stepped into it and walked out, I knew it was the one. I felt like a princess and couldn’t stop smiling. Everyone agreed and I purchased it that day!” she says.
A sunset kiss…
The couple’s favourite moment from their day was the special time they spent at the waters edge as the sun went down. “When we did our beach walk for our photos was the first time we got to spend alone as husband and wife. Enjoying each other’s company, laughing and kissing” says Zanna.
A white picket fence…
In the future the couple hope to “spend the next few years working towards our goals” and are planning that “by the age of 30 we will be in our ideal family home with kids, our beautiful puppies and have a gorgeous pool… complete with a white picket fence!”.
