The inaugural Weddings and Events of Australia (WEOA) Awards were held on Sunday night at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney. We were lucky enough to have two of our magazines as finalists: Modern Wedding and Luxury Weddings. Victoria (Wildfire Publishing Founder, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief) and I joined Sydney’s wedding elite to celebrate wedding brilliance in all its glorious forms.
The venue simply sparkled with decor by WEOA Founder and Director of Angelic Events, Jessica Eckford-Aguilera and a red carpet welcomed guests and presenters alike. The awards were judged by WEOA Founder Jessica Eckford-Aguilera, Hair Guru Joh Bailey, Rachael Bentick of Inlighten Photography, Jules Sebastian and Wendy El-Khoury of Wedded Wonderland. Presenters included: Ten News Anchor Ron Wilson and Kerri-Anne Kennerly.
We are so delighted and surprised that Luxury Weddings magazine won Wedding Publication of the Year! And not only that but Modern Wedding came in second to boot. What a thrill!
