There was a time when the doily was confined to Grandma’s house, but the lovely doily has made a strong comeback. Grannies and op-shops alike have been raided as bride-to-be’s search for doilies to decorate anything and everything.
From a kitchen tea to a wedding, the doily can be used on any occasion. They belong perfectly in a rustic or vintage wedding theme, but don’t dismiss them as a theme of their own!
Doilies aren’t just back in fashion, they’re bigger, better and being used more creatively than ever before. The doily comeback has been impacting upon design and we’ve seen doily inspired stationary, baking cups and a whole host of accessories.
