Dilemma of the Day:
“I have a ‘no children’ policy for my wedding day but now one of my closest friends who has recently had her baby has asked if she can bring her’s as she will only be 9 weeks old and need breastfeeding. Now I don’t know what to say as others have asked me if they could bring their toddlers and I said no! I feel that a little baby will not cause so much dramas as a toddler! Any advice?”#mwdilemma

“We set the date for our wedding 16 months in advance. It’s this year and most guests are family from interstate that have to travel. Another member of the family (sister) wants to get married just one week before us. Am I wrong to be upset? Can I ask them to move the date as they haven’t booked anything yet?”#mwdilemma

“I just got engaged and my soon to be mother in law has offered up the stone in her mother’s engagement ring to me to use for my wedding band. This is such a lovely gesture and I am beyond happy with the offer except that I know her daughter (my future sister in law) has been dreaming of that ring her entire life! I obviously don’t want to hurt my MIL by denying the request but would feel so bad accepting it knowing how much my SIL wants it. What do I do?” #mwdilemma

“My partner and I had paid for the wedding (the big main things minus the tiny bits and pieces) and we had put away $1000 for the bar tab (which doesn’t get paid til the night). Since having it put away about 4 months ago there have been other things we have had to pay and get for the wedding and we took the money from the bar tab to pay for it as we are limited on funds to live off. My partner is happy to have no tab for the night but I feel we should have something.. the wedding is two months away and from that tab money we have only $200 left. (Living has gotten in the way) between now and the day of the wedding we could put away another $600 but is a tab really necessary? What are your thoughts? Have you been to a wedding with and without one?? How did you feel about that??” #mwdilemma

“I’ve been looking at wedding dresses and found an absolutely stunning gown! The problem is we haven’t set a date or done any other planning for our wedding. It’s a lot of money this dress and you don’t know whether I should jump in and get it or whether I should wait till we have a confirmed date! I don’t want to look back in a year or so time and not like the dress I bought! Anybody had the same circumstance?” #mwdilemma
