“My partner and I really want to have a destination wedding, but we’re conscious that not everyone can afford to make the trip. Should we have our destination wedding and only invite the people we think will be able to afford it and then have a smaller party back home for everyone to come? We’re trying to find a compromise that will work for everyone. Has anyone been in this situation before? How did you work it out?” #mwdilemma

“My sister and I are both engaged and hoping to get married in spring next year. We have lots of family overseas who we would love to attend our wedding and so it makes sense having the weddings close to each other. We also have very similar taste and friendship circles. We were joking about just having a joint wedding… and I’m starting to think it might not be such a bad idea. Has anyone had a combined wedding? I’m a little worried that the stress could put some strain on our relationship but we do have a while to plan. What does everyone think?” #mwdilemma

“I’m making a list of people I want to invite to my wedding and my mum wants some family members that I really don’t want. I’ve told her and she’s telling me that it is to avoid family riff. I’ve told her that I don’t care but she’s still insisting for them to be there. Please help me find some common ground.” #mwdilemma

“I’m getting married next year and would love to make my future mother-in-law feel extra special in some way on our wedding day. She’s been so wonderful to me while I’ve been dating her son and has really been a second mother. She doesn’t want to do a speech and I’d love to do more than thank her in mine… any ideas? #mwquestion

“I’m getting married next year and have already found my dream dress. It’s a classic A-line gown and is quite simple. I’ve just been shown the dress that my MIL will be wearing which is a quite dramatic white gown. It looks very much like a bridal gown. Aside from that, I’ve always wanted to be the only one in white on my wedding day. Should I say something at the risk of offending her or just bite the bullet for the sake of keeping my new MIL happy? HELP!” #mwdilemma
