Helen and Peter rejoiced in their nuptials holding a classic celebration with a hint of vintage glamour.

Their love blossomed early, but they decided to part ways as they grew up. A few years down the track they found one another again. “We fell back into each others arms and never looked back,” says Helen.
As the owner of well-known Sydney florist Sweetbride, Helen was inspired to create a celebration simply overflowing with the most beautiful blooms. “I always wanted a garden wedding with a petal aisle and flowers everywhere,” says Helen. “I chose classic shades of white and cream, mixed with succulents, apricot and dusty pink roses.”
The bride wore a stunning beaded backless gown from Pallas Couture. “I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it!” she exclaims. Due to poor weather conditions, their outdoor ceremony became an indoor one at Gledswood Homestead and Winery in Catherine Fields. “Luckily the weather broke for our late afternoon location shoot at the venue.”
Once wed, the couple joined their guests in a Chinese banquet. “There were ten dishes per table, ranging from seafood spring rolls, shark fin soup and lobster to steamed fish.”
When it came to their wedding cake, Helen wanted something simple but unique. She chose an ivory coconut mud and marble mud cake, decorated with ruffles on the bottom tier and a lace pattern on the second tier, created by Hanh Le from Cakes Created by Oh! Lana. “I loved how it was so simple and elegant, but textured. It was so beautiful and absolutely delicious!”
The couple honeymooned around Europe for six weeks, conceiving their first child, a baby girl: Tayla Giselle, in Dubrovnik Croatia.
