A Destination Wedding in Bali

This one-of-kind wedding appeared in the most recent Bali Wedding supplement, but in case you missed it – and trust us when we say you DID miss something if you didn’t see it, we thought we’d share it again with a few extra shots, not featured in the mag because we’re in complete awe (and let’s face it a little bit of envy that we weren’t there!) of these vintage vows in paradise.

With Ben coming from New Zealand and Angie from Wales, they chose to have a destination wedding in Bali as a happy (and beautiful!) medium for their two families and all of their friends. The theme that Angie and Ben chose was a mixture of vintage and industrial chic, the intricate detailing and mixture of textures was a stunning contrast to the lush tropical surroundings. The couple has always loved the scenery in Bali and chose to tie the knot atop a seaside cliff with breathtaking views.

Angie and Ben had help planning their wedding and offer the following advice, “ensure you get the right people involved in organising, as pretty much anything can be done in Bali!” They certainly put this to the test with their 110 guests and stunning venue styling. Angie wore a Jenny Packham gown, “I chose it because it had a little bit of everything – dazzling, fun, romantic, and sexy!” and carried a unique bouquet comprised of roses, hydrangeas, and even broccoli, chilies, and asparagus!

The big day had many memorable moments, in particular was when Ben’s dad and aunt sang a duet at the reception that they’d written for the new couple. When it came to the reception, the party went off with a bang – quite literally! Right after the first dance, the glitter cannon went off and everyone jumped onto the dance floor! Angie and Ben couldn’t imagine a more perfect day and loved being in Bali, “it’s an incredible destination for a wedding!’
