J E N & A B R A H A M
Jen and Abraham had a clear intention for their wedding day; they wanted a simple, relaxed and intimate destination wedding imbued with a rustic aesthetic and an abundance of wild flowers. They chose the historical and incredibly romantic Villa Catureglio in Tuscany – beautiful and completely unforgettable.
Abraham is the owner and director of renowned cinematography company Untitled Film Works. He has attended some of Australia’s most stylish weddings so when it came time to plan his own he knew that he wanted something original and personalised. Thankfully his gorgeous bride, Jen, shared his ideals. They booked the achingly beautiful Villa Catureglio in Tuscany, complete with manicured lawns and a 13th century chapel. Steeped in history and romance it was the perfect choice for the couple.
The ceremony took place in the Villa’s garden and afterward, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed apperitivo on the lawn; prosecco, canapés, local cheeses and prosciutto carved off the bone. Guests were seated at a long horse-shoe shaped table to enjoy a traditional Italian feast for dinner; homemade ravioli, risotto, fillet steak and an array of culinary treats.
“We took five minutes to ourselves before the reception. We hid in the villa, had a glass of champagne and peeked out the window at our guests. It allowed us time to breathe and really take it all in,” says Jen.
