K R I S T A & V I C T O R
Krista and Victor met on the first day of practice coaching volleyball. They knew it was the real deal when they realised they were yet to spend a day apart since they met and celebrated their nuptials with a lavish dinner party wedding.
‘I’m so glad I didn’t quit this job!’…
Krista and Victor first met on their first day of work, coaching volleyball. “Victor was the first person there and we got talking right away,” reveals Krista. “It felt like I had already known him forever. I remember thinking, I’m so glad I didn’t quit this job!”
Sitting out on their balcony by the water, watching the boats go by and enjoying a drink, Victor asked Krista to marry him.
“Suddenly he got down on one knee and plucked a ring box out of the flower pot next to him! His friend has been taking pictures the whole time too! Just when I thought all the surprises were over, we arrived at our favourite restaurant and all of our friends and family were waiting for us for a surprise engagement party!”
A Lavish Dinner Party…
The couple always dreamed of a wedding that didn’t feel like a wedding, but rather a ‘fantastic dinner party’ and made their dream a reality at their private oceanside home.
They created a natural and effortless vibe, incorporating vintage elements, lashings of fresh greenery and a neutral and blush colour theme.
Just a few steps away from the ceremony spot, the couple set up a beautiful clear tent which housed their cocktail hour and reception.
A Christmas Morning Proposal…
The couple proposed to their 4 bridesmaids and groomsmen on Christmas morning. “The bridesmaids were my best friend, my sister, and my two new sisters. The groomsmen were Victor’s brother, brother in law, and his two new brother in laws”, says Krista.
In keeping with their natural and effortless theme, the couple allowed their bridal party to wear outfits they were comfortable in. Each of Krista’s bridesmaids wore long blush toned gowns, whilst each of the groomsmen wore black tuxedos paired with black skinny ties.
Simply Stunning…
The groom wore a black tuxedo, paired with Louboutin loafers, whilst his bride chose a classic, simple and fitted gown by designer Noel and Jean.
The bride and her bridal party each carried a bouquet of loose, unstructured white and green blooms down the aisle, to match the blooms carried throughout the ceremony and reception styling.
A Firework Finish…
Just when the couple thought the night couldn’t get any better, there was a surprise fireworks show that the bride’s mother had planned to end the night.
