“Our wedding to us was about bringing our family and friends together in one huge celebration of LOVE with lots of laughter and dancing. We wanted the day to be a touch of vintage and rustic and have a relaxed vibe overall,” says Monica and Tim. They hired props from Ruffles & Bells which gave them the flexibility to decorate The Briars historic homestead on the Mornington Peninsula themselves. Cutesy details included a light up LOVE sign, a perfect fit for the interior of the barn house.
Their outdoor ceremony under the trees was followed by lawn games and canapés and guests were later seated in the rustic barn to celebrate over a sit down meal. The couple chose to have three equally beautiful and delicious cakes including a naked cake, an ombre cake and a classic soft iced three tier cake with fresh flowers. “It meant so much to us both to be able to celebrate our love with a room full of people who have been in our lives through so many years.”
