Earlier this month, Sydney couple Chris and Jessica tied the knot in an elegant ,yet unassuming affair. They certainly didn’t expect their wedding would be at the centre of worldwide media attention…
It all began with amateur videographer Sam Yeldham who was shooting a time-lapse at Bradleys Head, in an effort to capture the imminent storm. Chris and Jessica along with their wedding photographer Liv of Liv Style Photography had also ventured out to Bradleys Head amidst the blustery conditions, to capture the iconic Sydney Harbour in their wedding photos. As the couple posed for some snaps, Sam also snapped away, capturing this spectacular moment –
The photo attracted so much attention on Sam Yeldham’s personal Instagram and Facebook, he decided he would try and get in touch with the mystery couple. The photo was published on Buzzfeed and within three hours Chris and Jessica were in touch with Sam via Instagram. The newlyweds were on their honeymoon in Hawaii when they were inundated with messages and notifications from friends who had seen them and tagged them in Sam’s image. “You can call off the search! This is me and my wife,” Chris commented.
The story has since been featured on media outlets across the world including The Sydney Morning Herald, Good Morning America and the BBC.
Friend of Modern Wedding, and the couple’s wedding photographer Liv of Liv Style Photography was thrilled with the outcome, “Sam is such a lovely guy and his shot is awesome!”
