For Him…

Cufflinks

Cufflinks are a traditional accessory and an essential part any grooms get-up. They can be simple and classy or personalised to make a unique set of cufflinks that will finalise the outfit as well as be a constant reminder of the special day. They also serve as a perfect gift for the bridal party.

Watch

A watch is a simple and classic accessory that can be paired with other jewellery and accessories. Match the strap with shoes, socks or jacket but keep it simple and classic to reflect your personality and taste for a unique and timeless detail. Watches can be personalised with an engraving or you can wear a family heirloom. Add a new strap if it needs a bit of freshening up for something old or something borrowed.

Lapel pin

Lapel accessories are a traditional wedding detail that many grooms and groomsmen choose to include. There are many designs and styles that you can choose from but the most traditional and common is a boutonniere, which is a real flower that sits snugly in or near the buttonhole of the lapel. Boutonnieres usually come freshly cut straight from a florist and add a beautiful detail to the final groom look, especially when it matches with the brides bouquet. Other lapel accessories that are sometimes used are pins that are made from different materials to look like flowers. These are sometimes are better option as they are less maintenance so will not whittle away on the day!

Pocket squares

Used either as a functional handkerchief or just there to look pretty on the day, pocket squares can match with the theme and style of the wedding for a timeless and classic final touch. These accessories can be embroidered for a personal touch and something that can be treasured or chosen to match other elements of the outfit (like the tie or boutonniere!).

Socks

Socks are a cute and fun way to add unique style to a wedding. They are a great final touch as you can get any colour or style to match the wedding theme. Socks will definitely be used more than once and chosen to include a little bit of the groom’s personality especially if a simple and plain suit is being worn. They are especially a good way to get rid of cold feet!

For her…

Something old

Wearing something old on your wedding day is a way to keep include a bit of tradition in the ceremony. Heirlooms or any statement pieces that can be worn can add a final touch that will make the day that little bit more special. If you don’t have access to something such as a great-grand mothers ring, any special and previously owned jewellery or something that evokes a special memory will do. A signature scent, earrings, pendants, bracelets or even hairpins can finalise your look and add something beautiful, timeless and special to your wedding.
