High school sweethearts Amanda and Adrian aimed to bring a crisp white theme into their special day. With classic florals, timeless decor and stunning style, this couple planned the ultimate whimsical white wedding.
Young Love…
Amanda and Adrian met in Year 7, and have been together since they were two sprightly 14 year olds. “Since the beginning, we don’t remember a time where we didn’t love each other.” the couple explained.
I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas…
After dreaming of enjoying a white Christmas together, the couple headed to chilly New York City for a holiday. Here, Adrian popped the question on top of the Empire State Building, creating a truly memorable night.
White Wonderland…
The initial theme for the day focused around the colour white. “I’m not a fan of colours and I allowed my suppliers to make most of the hard decisions when it came to what would look good” the bride explains.
Subtle Sparkle…
The brides gown was created by George Elsissa. From the beginning, Amanda wasn’t sure of what gown she wanted for the day. After an initial sketch by the designer, Amanda fell in love. The gown featured a mermaid silhouette with soft curves of lace and a subtle layer of sparkle underneath. The sweetheart neckline and defined detail further gave the bride a curvaceous and stunning line. The look was completed with an embellished veil which sat beautifully on top of the voluminous train. The gown also featured a lucky charm which was placed inside as part of a family tradition started by the brides grandmother.
Vision Of White…
The couple were joined by three bridesmaids and three groomsman. Standing next to Amanda was her best friend, sister and sister in law. Each were dressed in a crisp white off the shoulder gown, beautifully matching the tones of the brides gown. The bouquets also matched that of the bride, with a bunch of stunning white blooms. The groom was joined by two friends and his brother in law. Contrasting with the grooms white tuxedo, the groomsmen sported a traditional black tuxedo style.
Timeless Tone…
With an overall white theme dazzling over the day, the couple decided to add a touch of shine to the reception. A theme of gold was added to the decor, with gold tiffany chairs and centrepieces beautifully standing out. White florals continued throughout the venue with a rich greenery surrounding them for a stunningly classic look. A grand feature was created in the centre of the room with a floral and crystal light chandelier installation hovering over the dance floor.
A Touch Of Gold…
The finer details of the day stayed in-keeping with the minimalist and timeless style. Glass vases with candles were placed across the tables for a romanic glow. Delicate white florals and greenery were further added in rectangular pots. Plate decor and cutlery also featured a glamorous gold tone, perfectly standing out against the white tablecloths. The four tier cake also featured a white base, with gold ribbon and fine floral detail.
Save The First Dance For Me…
The reception was filled with romance and emotion when the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance. “The first dance song was probably the most memorable part of the day. There is a long story behind why this was our song and it was very emotional for us both the moment we started dancing to it.” Following this sentimental moment, the couple enjoyed a night of dancing and celebrating with family and friends.
Calm Before The Storm…
The planning experience brought some moments of stress to the couple, but they were thrilled to have worked through this and had the perfect day. When it comes to the wedding day, the couple have some wonderful advice to share. “We would say enjoy the morning before all the chaos begins. It’s probably the only moment of the day that you will be able to take it all in.”
