Wedding day underwear tends to serve a mainly functional purpose, but it is in the evening when you can really have some fun with lingerie. With so many things to organise, bridal lingerie is often the last thing on your mind. We’ve got you covered with some of the best bridal lingerie and sleepwear for the night before and night of the wedding.
BRA AND UNDIES
Simple, but effective. There are so many different combinations of bra and panties that will make a statement on your wedding night and are versatile enough to wear in the future. When it comes to bras you can choose from a variety of styles including triangle, push-up, demi, balconette and bralette. For panties there are different cuts such as hipster, bikini and thong, all offer different levels of coverage while ensuring you look your best.
BUSTIER AND GARTER
A bustier and garter combo is on the sexier side when it comes to bridal lingerie and wedding night garments. Bustiers are extended bra tops that usually cover most of the torso, accentuate cleavage and flatten your waist. Wear your bustier with bottoms of your choice, or amped up with a garter and thigh high stockings. A garter belt has clips to hold up the stockings and can be used with any bra, not just a bustier.
CHEMISE
For a flirty, feminine look, a chemise is a good choice. A chemise features spaghetti or tank top style straps and reaches mid-thigh length. Pair it with bottoms of your choice. Chemises offer a more modest, yet still sexy version of lingerie.
BABYDOLL
A babydoll is similar to a chemise, but less form fitting. It accentuating the bust and then flowing loosely to just below the bottom or mid thigh. Worn with panties of your choice, babydolls come in a range of fabrics, from satin and silk, to more see through fabrics like lace and mesh.
TEDDY
For a look that features more coverage but still maintains a sexy silhouette, a teddy is the way to go. The bodysuit style item can be either tight or loose and can vary in levels of bottom coverage. Much like a babydoll, it comes in a variety of different fabrics.
ROBE
If you want to add a sultry lingerie reveal to your wedding night, a robe is a great option. Even better, it means you get an extra wear out of your pre wedding robe.
SLEEPWEAR
One of the more conservative and practical options, sleepwear does not have to lack sex appeal. A matching cami and shorts set will give off a subtle sexiness, while still feeling just as luxurious as other lingerie items. Sleepwear options come in handy for winter weddings and honeymoons in cooler destinations.
