After almost ten years together, Ellie and Paul wanted their special day to really showcase their personalities. They chose a coastal and contemporary theme with a stunning and stylish garden wedding taking place at Bells at Killcare
An Outdoor Haven…
When asked about the wedding theme, Ellie explained “we are a very laid back couple so from the outset we envisioned a coastal, outdoorsy, fun and contemporary style wedding. My vision for the ceremony was an open garden style, very simple with white furniture and signage, sun umbrellas, lots of greenery and a statement wedding arch.” Perfectly suited to the garden wedding theme, the ceremony was held on the lawns of Bells at Killcare Boutique Hotel. Following this was a fun and festive celebration with cocktails, antipasto tables, a live band and lawn games in the stunning garden.
Creative and Couture…
Ellie’s gown was a custom couture design from Edwards & Simpson Bridal. “The gown was a mermaid style fit without being as dramatic as the normal style mermaid and with an open back. I used three different types of lace in the gown, a lot of sheer fabric and a strong leaf pattern throughout.”
Squad Goals…
Ellie’s three bridesmaids blended with the theme in gorgeous white Misha Collection gowns. Paul and his four groomsmen dressed in stylish sharp blue suits from Wolf Kanat. The fresh bouquets for the bridal party complemented the floral features of the ceremony. They included fresh whites, lots of greenery, peonies and tulips.
A Natural Feel…
Taking place in the conservatory of the venue, the reception also maintained the same natural and elegant feeling of a classic garden wedding. Lots of white decor created a simple backdrop, allowing the soft florals and featured greenery to stand out. Sprinkles of rose gold were also scattered throughout the venue for an extra pop of detail. As a final touch, fairy lights were placed over the ceiling giving the room a romantic and fun glimmer.
Classic Colours…
Reception tables featured crisp white cloths with bright green and white florals weaved throughout. Elegant candles and personalised name plates beautifully blended in for a fresh and elegant decor. What followed was a decadent Italian feast featuring gnocchi and mushroom risotto. The evening concluded with a delicious cake created by the venue.
As Husband And Wife…
After this stunning garden wedding, the couple offered a final piece of advice….“During the ceremony and reception, take 15 to 30 minutes to look around and see and talk to your guests who are there to celebrate you. It will be the fastest day of your life, make sure you are experiencing every moment.”
