F R A N K I E & L A U R A
F R O M T H E B R I D E …
The Meeting…
We met through a mutual friend at a restaurant.
Love…
When we had our first argument and he said sorry first! Haha
The Proposal…
Frankie took me away to a private island getaway in Fiji called Liku Liku. It’s a beautiful place with only 10 over the water bungalows on the island. It was the morning of my birthday and Frankie organised a boat trip to another secluded and untouched island where there was a lunch waiting for us on the beach. ‘Happy birthday’ was written in little rocks on the sand so I did not think he was going to propose. Then after lunch Frankie got down on one knee and popped the big question!
Wedding Style…
We always wanted a big wedding, something out there and very ‘bling bling’. Thanks to the guys at Centrepiece by Design our dream turned into a reality.
Pre-wedding Celebrations…
We had a ‘Krevati’ which is a huge celebration of both the groom’s and bride’s families all together. An old tradition is carried out where all the single women make up the bed of the bride and groom.
The Dress…
It was a J’Aton and I left it all to them, they knew my style and personality from day one and worked their magic from then on. I must add Frankie’s suit was amazing, it was custom made from Tom Ford specially ordered for Frankie and shipped to Australia three days before the wedding!
The Flowers…
I love orchids so that was easy and the bridesmaids had soft pastel roses to match their dresses.
Decorating…
I left it to Centrepiece by Design, the only thing that I showed them that I really wanted was my hanging cake, which they did perfectly. My bridal table was a surprise on the night from the team as they custom made that for me.
Memorable Moments…
- Waking up in the morning with my family and having my mum surprise me with the Cartier love bangle, I was in tears
- Walking down the aisle with my dad to meet Frankie
- Our first dance as husband and wife
- The ‘goodbye’ circle at the end of the night, when I got to my parents I broke down – it was a very emotional part of the night.
Wedding Music…
We had a live band for the Greek music, but had to play CDs for the Italian music.
Honeymoon…
All over Europe!
Future…
To grow old together
To have a healthy and happy family
We now have a daughter on the way which is very exciting and more to come hopefully!
Wedding Photography…
We just connected with Yervant so well, you just know. The moments that he captured and his editing is unbelievable, considering it was a 45 degree day (the hottest of 2014) you couldn’t tell!
