I love inspired and heart felt work and the talented Lisa Thompson’s latest shoot is certainly that. She has taken her vision from the pre Raphaelite and Impressionistic style painter John William Waterhouse to create these stunning bridal images.
These images are so feminine in their lighting and have perfectly matched the stunning Australian backdrop to what could be mistaken as a 19th Century English oil painting.
The dresses are from her neighbour who is a collector of antique dresses – wouldn’t you love to check out her dress-up cupboard!
Inspiration from the masterpieces of Italian born Impressionistic painter and the wonderful old gowns her neighbour collects helped to evolve this shoot, which was taken in the surrounds of Oxford Falls, Sydney.
“John Waterhouse’s painting was greatly influenced by nature, something as a photographer I also appreciate. One of my favourite Waterhouse paintings being “Windflowers 1902“ This is my “Ode’s to J.W. Waterhouse” Says Lisa Thompson.
