It’s been a big year of celebrating for the Royal Family. First Harry and Meghan, and now Eugenie and Jack. After 8 years together, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank were married at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. It truly was another magical royal wedding
The Dress…
The Princesses dress not only looked magical, but also held a very special meaning. Designed by Peter Piloto and Christopher de Vos, the ballgown style featured a soft floral lace print, fitted bodice and pleated skirt. Meaningful symbols were interpreted into the gown with motifs being blended into the jacquard of silk, cotton, and viscose blend. This included a symbol of Thistle for the couples love for Scotland, a Shamrock as a tribute to the Ferguson Family and a York Rose and Ivy to represent the couple’s home.
The gown also featured a wide neckline, folding over the shoulders with a stunning long sleeve to follow. Again bringing meaning into the gown, the bride specifically requested a daring low back design. The Princess was determined to showcase the scar she has along her spine from a scoliosis surgery she received when she was 12.
The Photos…
The official royal photographs were taken in the White Drawing Room of Windsor Castle. Members of the photographs included Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. By the brides side was her sister Princess Beatrice, her mother, The Duchess of York and father, Prince Andrew. Photos also included the six young bridesmaids and two page boys which accompanied the couple down the aisle. This included a gorgeous Princess Charlotte and Prince George, who also served in the bridal party of Prince Harry and Meghan.
The Guests…
It wouldn’t be a Royal Wedding without a celebrity filled guest list! Some of the famous faces seen on the special day included Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Cara Delevigne, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Ricky Martin and Demi Moore. Of course Princess Beatrice and the bride’s mother, The Duchess of York, were front and centre dressed in bold, cool tones. The Duchess sported a Emma Louise Design bright emerald green design with matching hat. Her sister choose a rich blue toned dress designed by Ralph and Russo.
Naturally, focus drew to other members of the Royal Family in attendance including newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Meghan adorned a stunning navy dress by Givenchy. Also in attendance was Prince William and Kate Middleton. Kate chose a fabulously bright pink dress, giving the perfect combination of fun and elegant.
The After Party…
Following a stunning ceremony, the Princesses father, Prince Andrew, hosted a reception at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Of course the world stood by to see the chosen design of Princess Eugenie’s reception gown. Opting to break tradition and follow a modern trend, Eugenie wore an incredible muted blush gown designed by Zac Posen. The colour was chosen to reflect that tones of an English rose. Her accessories included a hair slide belonging to the Queen and diamond and emerald earrings gifted by the groom.
