Amy + Stephen wined and dined their guests for a week of celebrations in Positano on the stunning Amalfi Coast. A love of Prosecco and partying… essential!
Young love…
“We met when we were 13 at our year 8 social in September 2001 and have been together since the following January…we have been together for a VERY long time”, said Amy. “Our relationship in a sense was more mature than we were.”
A floral fantasy…
Surrounded by bougainvillea flowers, on a summer afternoon picnic Stephen asked Amy to be his forever. “It was a beautiful moment with just the two of us with no one else around”.
Destination dreaming…
The couple had always dreamt of an destination wedding, rolling over a few days of celebrating and decided to wed in the stunning seaside town of Positano. “We wanted a small and intimate celebration that would be about sharing the special time with everyone over a few days while we were all relaxed and on holidays.”
They said their I-do’s overlooking picturesque Positano, before celebrating their reception in style, overlooking the water of the stunning southern Italian landscape. With such a stunning venue for the big day, Stephen and Amy kept their decor simple, with white table cloths and floral arrangements complete with white roses, orchids and soft greenery and let the terracotta and sun-bleached city speak for itself.
Beige and gold details…
Amy had four bridesmaids by her side as she tied the knot; each in Camilla and Marc slip dresses paired with gold heels and earrings to match. In keeping with the neutral colour scheme each of Stephen’s four groomsmen wore linen shirts, with beige chinos and blue suede loafers.
Pretty in Pallas…
Amy chose a Pallas Couture gown with a fitted corset bodice and sheer detailing, “Pallas did an amazing job, my dress fit me like a glove and was so comfortable – I felt so amazing in it”, she said.
She completed the stunning look with a cascading arrangement of phalaenopsis orchids, David Austin roses and touches of soft greenery.
A European getaway…
The couple honeymooned in Mykonos, Tuscany, Portofino and Cannes. And in 40 years time hope to “be in love as we are day, enjoying life to the fullest”.
