After getting engaged in May 2018 during a romantic getaway to Rome, Rafael Nadal and his longtime love Mery Perelló tied the knot over the weekend! The pair said ‘I do’ in the glorious Spanish island of Mallorca, Rafael’s hometown. The ceremony took place in La Fortaleza, a spectacular Spanish fort, and the whole day was filled with love, smiles and sunshine. The breathtaking fortress boasts a totally swoon-worthy wedding venue with its two pools, seven villas and immaculately manicured terraces and gardens.
Dressed To The Nines…
Mery was a total vision of elegance in her wedding gown designed by Rosa Clará. Mery’s bridal look featured a jewelled neckline, floral motifs and micro beads on hand-embroidered fabric. The jaw-dropping dress took inspiration from Art Deco designs and channelled a vintage vibe with a modern twist. To add even more magic to the look, the dress featured an A-line style skirt which was made of silk crepe and incorporated a weightless detachable train. Mery’s understated bridal look was accentuated by her romantic bouquet of delicate white and cream blooms. Rafael traded in his tennis whites for a dashing charcoal grey morning coat for the ceremony. The classic look was paired with matching trousers, a tie and Rafael’s radiant smile.

Mery debuted a second bridal look later on in the day which was also designed by Rosa Clará. The bride’s second dress featured a backless Chantilly lace halter top, scalloped flower motifs and transparent micro beading on hand-embroidered fabric for a look that was all kinds of elegant.

Party Time…
After the romantic ceremony, the celebrations continued with a delicious formal meal prepared by Michelin-star chef Macarena de Castro. The newlyweds then spent the evening parting with their wedding guests in the beautiful setting of the castle-like Spanish fortress.
