Intent on a relaxed, winter wedding with an intimate, cosy vibe, Sabrina and Ryan enlisted the services of Oak & Linden to help bring their dream to life.
Cosy and country…
Opting for a warm winter palette of gold, blush and berry tones, the couple held their ceremony outdoors by the lake at Bendooley Estate in Berrima. “It was a chilly afternoon, so we made sure our guests had blankets to keep warm,” reveals Sabrina. Accompanied by a string quartet, the bride made her way down the aisle in an exquisite long sleeved lace gown by Grace Loves Lace, carrying an eclectic bouquet of sweet peas, hellebores, roses, astilbe and anemones.
The couple married under an archway, decorated with blooms in warm, wintery tones. “Just as the ceremony started, the sun came out and lit everything up,” Sabrina recalls. “It could not have been timed any better, it was beautiful.”
After the formalities, the couple joined their guests at The Book Barn. “We loved the book-lined walls, huge stone fireplace and exposed timber braces,” notes Sabrina. “Of course, the outstanding food, wine and service were just perfect.”
Oak & Linden took the couple’s brief of a romantic, winter wedding and transformed the space into a beautiful, inviting area filled with personalised details. “We wanted the styling to feel romantic and hint at a country theme without looking too staged,” reveals the bride. “Oak & Linden custom sourced all the styling elements for us.” Candlelight filled the room, the ceiling was strung with draping foliage, and centrepieces were Birchwood plinths and wild florals in antique brass bowls: the ideal backdrop for a winter feast to celebrate love, sweet love.
