‘The Lucky Ones 2016-17 Couture Capsule Collection’
We’re in love with Sant Elia’s artistic gown designs and she delights us once again with the release of ‘The Lucky Ones’ couture capsule collection. The collection showcases director and designer Stephanie’s masterful control over the delicate art of couture. Each dress is a youthful study that fuses the vibrant hustle of street style fashion with her signature of vintage opulence interlaced with contemporary glamour. The 4-piece capsule collection seeks to pay homage to the modernity of fashion-forward brides and we are head over heels in love with it!
Using a combination of hand-crafted fabrications, delicate lace and Fine English Tulle, the Sant Elia artisans painstakingly crafted each dress using age-old methods that, when juxtaposed with the urbane aesthetic, give the collection a crisp, youthful direction.
A form-fitted bohemian luxe gown features a dense cluster of hand-sewn pearl beading that adorns the bustier; the beading slowly breaks like a tropical summer storm, gently cascading down the body the dress.
While the playful addition of Fine English tulle is a noteworthy addition to the collection, the tulle provides Stephanie with a vehicle to explore the relationship between volume and form. Employing a traditional sleek silhouette and then applying layers of rouched tulle to form a fluted mermaid hem, the wearer is immediately transformed into an ethereal 1960’s goddess of the Italian silver-screen.
The couture capsule is rounded out with an opulent, scallop-edged lace wrap dress with exaggerated fluted sleeves and a hand-appliqued lace gown with an aerated tulle skirt.
