Tinder True Love – Rachel and Jarrod’s Love Story

Modern Wedding Posted: May 31, 2018

R A C H E L   &   J A R R O D

{ Shelley Lia }

Rachel and Jarrod first met on Tinder. A quick drink after work, lead to holiday engagement and stunning water view wedding.

Love at first swipe…

“We are one of those Tinder success stories”, Rachel reveals. “We seemed to be so comfortable with each other as soon as we met. We couldn’t pin point an exact moment that it was love but we grow more in love with each other each day.”

Fit and Flare…

Rachel looked like a vision in a fit and flare silhouette from Pallas Couture, and shone in her own skin with makeup by Shelley Lia. “When I began trying on dresses I realised a fitted gown was the most flattering style for me. I then fell in love with the Pallas Couture gowns”, she says.

Each of Rachel’s bridesmaids walked down the aisle in a variety of Shona Joy gowns, with blue hydrangeas dotted with peach and white tones. Whilst Jarrod and his groomsmen opted for navy MJ Bale suits.

Classic colours and modern style…

The couple opted for a classic, modern wedding, complete with hues of rose gold, light blue and touches of peach. “We choose St Anne’s in Ryde for our ceremony as it is an absolutely beautiful sandstone church and is the church my family attends”, says Rachel. “The reception was held at Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining in Drummoyne. It’s a relatively new venue and has a stunning aspect overlooking the water. The staff there are amazing and made our day run so smoothly”, she says.

A floral fantasy…

The reception was a complete floral fantasy. Rachel and Jarrod adorned the venue with hanging florals, candelabra’s and tea lights. Guests feasted on beef, barramundi and salmon, antipasto platters, ravioli and risotto before indulging in pavlova and panna cotta.

How to keep calm…

And Rachel’s biggest tip for brides? “Make sure your hair and makeup artists are people you get along well with as they will help keep you calm in the morning. Shelley Lia and Natalie Newton were so lovely and joined in with the laughter and excitement of the morning.”
