Earlier this week we celebrated the launch of Vera Wang’s Spring 2013 Bridal Collection at their flagship Sydney store. This collection sees Vera embracing her Chinese heritage with the use of red, a popular choice for Chinese brides, symbolising love, good fortune and joy.
The stunning gowns in crimson, cardinal red, dahlia and scarlett are all available in ivory, so don’t be quick to dismiss the beautiful lines and structures you see below just because you wouldn’t wear a red wedding dress. My favourite? Katherine, directly below, is definitely on my gowns wish list – surprisingly light weight the dress moves delicately with the wearer and yes the fabric does sit as beautifully in real life as it does in this picture.
For Alana Patience, store manager of Vera Wang’s Sydney boutique, trying on your wedding dress is a total experience and she makes it her mission to make it an amazing one for every bride that walks in her door. She also challenges the misconception that a Vera Wang gown is out of reach for average Australian brides – prices start at $4000 which is more affordable than many people may think. If you’re interested in any of the gowns you see above or simply want to browse more of Vera Wang’s beautiful gowns schedule an appointment online.
