I have been receiving so many amazing and gorgeous styled Lolly Bar shoots lately, all of them have some fabulous design and style ideas and this one is no exception. The talented Emily from Candy Couture put this table together for a vintage styled wedding, her brief from the bride was a vintage, do-it-yourself style with a colour scheme of cream, brown and slight accents of blue.
The backdrop of the table is love hearts cut of out of the pages of a pre-loved book and tied together with twine and ribbon. Emily also added a scattering of loose hearts across the table.
These cute little wooden love bird cake toppers were sourced from Etsy. The bride decided to only have a small cake as they were not only having this lolly bar at the wedding, but also a dessert buffet. The cake was in place for the tradition of cutting the cake and a photo.
“The framed customised buffet sign I made myself by gluing vintage lace and old scrabble letters, I let the bride keep this as a gift from me for their wedding”, Emily says.
Emily designed all the signs and tags herself, but had them made by Raspberry Lime Paperie.
The table was covered in burlap and then cream vintage lace on top for that elegant, but rustic style.
I love what Emily has done here to include another element to the table that adds height to the table. She has used half a birdcage and backed it with a vintage bird paper, tied rock-candy swizzle sticks to it with ribbon and hung it above the centre of the table.
What a divine lolly buffet, I am sure the bride would have been thrilled and her guests even more thrilled as they filled up their lolly bags from such a delightful table.
Thanks for sharing with us Emily! For more Lolly buffet or styling inspiration check out the images on Candy Couture’s website or Facebook page.
