Research, Research, Research…

Search for all your options; indoor or outdoor, big or small, rustic, or traditional. Use Instagram and Pinterest to find inspiration for all aspects of your wedding including floral arrangements, invitations, cakes, dresses, and venues. Once you have a picture of what you’re looking for, it becomes easier to narrow down your options.

Understand Policies…

After COVID-19 and its impact on our industry, we cannot stress enough the importance of reading each companies policies for their services. This means understanding the refund, cancellation, and additional clauses in their agreements with you. You should be prepared and knowledgable about what you have booked and your ability to change your plans if the worst occurs in 2021.

Choose Your Date…

Decide on the date for your wedding and confirm it with your venue. From here you can start to organise all other aspects of your wedding including catering, photography and your celebrant. Once a date is locked in, this will give you the ability to start working on your ‘save the date’ for your intended amount of guests.

Find Inspiration…

Start looking for the dress! Yes, we said it! We know that not everything is open at the moment but that doesn’t mean you should stop looking online and searching through posts to find a style that appeals to you. After all, it never hurts to be prepared. You can also start to think about whether your wedding will have a colour scheme and or theme; this decision will allow you to start planning for decor, bridesmaid dresses, and floral arrangements.

Get Your Guidance…

There are SO many things to plan when it comes to your wedding. With all the uncertainty in the world right now, we know it can be difficult to make commitments to your vendors. So, when making decisions, remember that vendors are there to guide you and answer your questions! They won’t let you book something unrealistic and will help you achieve the wedding of your dreams!
