This is certainly an oldie but a goldie! Danny De Vito and Matthew Broderick are two neighbours who go head to head to have the best Christmas display on their street. As you can imagine it is not smooth sailing but this funny, festive and fun film will 100% get you in the Christmas spirit.
The Santa Clause Trilogy…
We suggest saving a whole day to watch these movies. Once you watch the first one, you will want to watch all three! This heartwarming, funny, and extremely magical movie starring Tim Allen will have you believing in Santa all over again.
Christmas With The Kranks…
Another Christmas movie starring Tim Allen? It must be good! Although in The Santa Clause he loves Christmas, in this movie he wants to get away for the holidays. A big surprise causes a spanner in the works, meaning they have to organize the big day with not much time to prepare. Such a classic!
The Grinch…
I mean, it would be rude not to! It is a classic that we have all watched over 100 times throughout the years but that’s the case for a reason. 4 o’clock, wallow in self-pity. 4:30, stare into the abyss. 5:00, watch the grinch!
The Holiday…
We can all agree The Holiday is one of the best romantic Christmas movies created, up there with Love Actually of course. This likely won’t be your partner’s first choice but they will definitely get into it (secretly). This movie is made up of a strong cast and funny anecdotes. It will have your partner laughing and crying, they just won’t admit it to their friends!
The Night Before…
If you both enjoy Superbad, Knocked Up or any of Seth Rogan’s movies, you’ll love this one. On Christmas Eve, three lifelong buddies roam the streets of New York trying to find the ultimate party. In true Seth Rogan style, its R rated for a reason!
Bad Santa…
Let’s take the Christmas spirit and flip it on its head. This movie is about two conmen who steal from department stores by posing as Santa and his elf. Hardly a Christmas classic but certainly a good one for you both to enjoy. Why not follow on by watching Bad Santa 2!
