F R O M T H E B R I D E …
The Meeting…
We met each other at the ‘Nike Air & Style’ after show party in Munich almost 5 years ago.
The Proposal…
It was my birthday and my hubby brought me to Hamburg. We had a beautiful day, had a canal tour on a boat and finally went out for a dinner to our favourite Italian restaurant. After that we went for a walk through the beautiful old town and talked a lot about us and our relationship. Then he stopped, pulled out a ring and asked me if I wanted to marry him. This was one of the most emotional moments of our lives.
Ceremony…
In a small village church.
Reception Venue…
We looked at a lot of venues and every time we went home from an appointment we didn’t have good feelings. But then we found the Ostermaiers and they understood our visions from the beginning.
The Dress…
I was always looking at Sarah Seven Dresses on Instagram, but there were no retailers in Germany. After a lot of appointments in German bridal stores I was really frustrated and thought I will never ever find a dress that I like. Than my husband persuaded me to call my mum and to ask her if she wanted to fly to London with me, to visit the ladies from FrouFrou Bridal Boutique, who had a few of Sarah Seven’s dresses.
Long story short, I found my perfect dress and at the end it was definitely worth doing the day trip with my mum to London. The lace blouse is from Rue de Seine and I found it at ‘Hey Love’ in Munich – really the most beautiful German bridal store for boho brides.
Wedding Style…
All details from our wedding, except our invitations, were made by us. We invested a lot of time in creating the Papeterie, finding the right gifts for our guests and writing the bar and direction sign. Andrea, the owner of our venue, and her daughter helped a lot with decorating the barn.
Our family and friends were also involved in picking up and decorating things for our big day.
My husband’s father picked up all flowers the day before, from 500km away in Cologne, where lovely Isabelle from Ou j’ai grandi, made the most beautiful flower bouquets I’ve ever seen.
Special Moments…
The most special moment was walking down the aisle to the altar with my dad. In this moment I only looked at my husband and saw the excitement in his eyes. It was the first time we saw each other that day and it was that moment we both felt that to marry was the best decision in our lives. But there were many more special moments and we needed a few days to review our whole wedding day again with our family and friends.
Photography…
It was love at first sight! From the beginning we really liked Kevin´s photos and his style of working with us. He is like a friend and his photos are out of this world! He captures the moments in a way that feels very natural. The emotions that he sees and captures makes us re-feel every moment of our wedding and not just visually seeing it!
Honeymoon…
We went to Mykonos, a small island in Greece and it was wonderful! (Our hotel was: San Giorgio Mykonos)
