In the picturesque seaside town of Positano, Italy, Ashleigh and Elliot said I do in a small, simple and family focused celebration. In a true Italian fairytale, the bride wore a stunning lace Jordanna Regan Couture gown, that paired perfectly with their Positano wedding’s coastal surroundings and the terracotta villas of the town.
Nightlife love…
The couple met on a night out in their hometown of Brisbane and fell madly in love after many cheesy movie nights soon after. Nearly 5 years later, on their first trip as a couple in Queenstown, Elliott got down one one knee and asked Ashleigh for her hand.
“He nervously skulled his Pinot Noir and slid down on one knee over looking the lake, alpine trees and snow capped mountains”, she recalls.
An Intimate Positano Wedding…
Soon after, the couple were planning a breathtaking destination wedding in the cliffside village of Positano. The couple kept their guest list small, with each of their parents and their closest friends.
Unforgettable Italian Setting…
When asked about her theme, Ashleigh revealed that she envisioned a classic European feel, inspired by the villa that they rented for the ceremony. “It was the original family home of the lady who owns all the lemon shops in Positano,” said Ashleigh, and she wanted the surroundings to speak for themselves.
An Amalfi Princess…
The bride shone as she walked down the aisle in a stunning, Jordanna Regan Couture gown, paired with bouquet of local blooms in dusty pink and dark plum tones. The fit and flare style of her gown allowed Ashleigh to move freely and enjoy her night with comfort, but didn’t skimp on the luxury bridal elements every bride dreams of when choosing her dress with opulent french lace, a plunging neckline, long elegant sleeves and statement backless design.
A Fitting Fella…
The groom looked dapper in an emerald green MJ Bale suit jacket, with tan pants and dust pink accents that paired perfectly with his stunning bride to be’s look. His look was made complete with a pair of genuine Italian boat shoes, the perfect fit for their destination wedding.
A European Getaway…
The couple celebrated their Positano wedding with their small handful of guests, at a lavish 5 star restaurant overlooking picturesque Positano and were treated to an array of fresh, local Italian cuisine to celebrate the special union. Shortly after, the couple jetted off on a European adventure of a lifetime in Venice and Florence, Mykonos and Santorini.
Ashleigh’s Advice…
The bride’s advice on how to enjoy the engagement and wedding planning process? “Do it your way and don’t let anyone guilt you into anything you don’t want!”
