Titima and Franco met by chance online. “The day that I saw his email, I wasn’t really sure about the online dating thing,” says Titima. “I replied with a message ‘it would be nice to be friends with you’, and I thought I would leave it at that. Then we went and chatted as friends on Skype on the same day.” It was to be more than just a friendship though… “After speaking to him for a little while, I felt so comfortable with him. The way we talked made me feel like I had known him for a very long time!” Spontaneously, Titima decided to meet up with her new-found friend that night. “When I met him in person, it seemed like I had finally found my destiny,” she says, smiling.
Bridges at Hurstbridge by accident while I was on the way to look at another reception venue,” she laughs. “I wanted it to have a party atmosphere and to make sure all my guests had fun.” She chose diamond keyrings as bomboniere, and hand-painted a canvas to replace the traditional guest book at their reception to get people talking.
Their wedding was as simply beautiful, spontaneous and celebratory as their meeting. Titima chose gorgeous hot pink as her feature colour, designing the wedding around a cocktail style reception. “I found the ceremony and reception venueTitima’s choice of gown was simple and elegant, a short-sleeved lace gown by bridal couturier Karen Willis Holmes. “When I saw this one I knew it might be the one,” she said. “I went to try it on by myself, but I showed Franco a picture of it first and he said that he thought it would suit me. The minute I put it on, I knew it was right. Everyone in the store looked at me! And they all said how beautiful it was!” And boy, they were right.
