Greg and Victoria were married on 23rd November 2012 in the heart of Sydney at St. Mary’s Cathedral. They revelled in all Sydney had to offer with photos in Hyde Park and on the water in the middle of the harbour. Their reception at Water @ Pier One, sitting directly under the Harbour Bridge, took full advantage of the beautiful Sydney harbour view.

The Proposal…
We met five years ago at a party in Tamarama Beach and dated on and off for a few years until we both realized there’s more to life than career and parties and that we couldn’t live without each other.
We got engaged in December 2011 in the Hunter Valley at our favorite restaurant in the region; Molines Bistro.
The Wedding…
The wedding was always going to reflect us – simple, classic and classy. We decided to get married in Sydney and being Catholic there was no other option than the absolutely stunning St. Mary’s Cathedral.
The reception was at Water @ Pier One, The Sebel Pier One Sydney. It’s directly under the harbour bridge and by far the most romantic place in Sydney for us.Wanting it to be a timeless event I had everything white with black writing on all of the printing and a touch of greenery in the flowers. The tables were very simple – just three different vases of different heights each with a different variety of white flower. We had heaps of tealight candles around the room and in the bathrooms which really set the mood.
We skipped entrée at the reception in order to have extra time out on the balcony with extra canapés, so people could mingle longer. We quietly entered here to avoid a big announcement. Once seated we did speeches straight away then served mains… Cut the cake, danced and that was it! I didn’t throw my bouquet. I kept it to put on my husband’s late father’s grave. We also didn’t say goodbye – just disappeared around ten to twelve… It’s not our style to make too much of a fuss. We stayed upstairs in the honeymoon suite which made the exit very easy.
The Flowers…
All of this was done by Elizabeth Pozanski from Sydney Wedding Flowers. She was also brilliant to deal with. Elizabeth too loves white and is a perfectionist so I was completely comfortable letting her do her thing.
The Cake…
The same story with my cake, Heidi’s Dream Cakes. Heidi was a delight and delivered exactly what I wanted. She also went out of her way to pre cut and bag my kitchen cakes for guests to take home alongside the flowers from the tables which Elizabeth had pre-tied before putting them in the vases. This was our bomboniere and the ladies loved having a bunch of flowers to take home.
The Dress…
My dress was Oscar de la Renta’s signature bridal gown the 92e25. It was part of his 2009 runway collection, but it’s been so popular he still sells it at Saks Fifth Ave today. My beautiful bridesmaids are all very good friends in the media. Maid of honor – Candice Spurr is the editor of Foxtell’s online Lifestyle Channel. Olivia Suzanski flew over from London where she works for AAP, and Jennifer Ennion is a travel writer. We all met when we were starting out in the industry as cadets in Sydney radio. They wore a similar style to my strapless gown, which was floor length dress as our wedding was black tie. The dresses were from Bridesmaids Only in Double Bay and I cannot commend them enough – they were fabulous.
Advice…
In between the church and reception we took a cruise on the harbor with the bridal party and photographers. This was my favorite part of the day. Not only did we get some amazing photos, we had the chance to take some time out with our most treasured friends and thank them for the time and effort they had put in to make our day so special. If you don’t have a boat sit down in a park or whatever is at your disposal to take some time out. I was given that advice going into our wedding and I’m so glad I took it under my belt.
The Honeymoon…
We honeymooned in French Polynesia (Bora Bora in particular) and now live in a gorgeous semi in Bondi Beach which we are renovating. My amazing husband brought me a puppy for Christmas – a Pomeranian – I called her Coco and she’s super cute. We are now on the second part of our honeymoon skiing in Cortina, Italy… loving life.
