The InterContinental Sydney Double Bay offers seven contemporary and flexible spaces for your wedding, including the Grand Ballroom, Rooftop Pool & Lounge and more the hotel’s French provincial courtyard. Starting with the pre-event foyer, this space offers access to all function spaces, close proximity to the cloakroom and bathrooms, and is ideal for pre-event drinks, with a bar setup, live cooking stations, buffet and lounge-style seating.
The pillarless Grand Ballroom offers silver service dining for all styles of weddings for up to 360 guests. The ballroom boasts a white/grey palate with custom-designed chandeliers – the ideal backdrop for events of all types, themed or unthemed. It can split into three separate rooms, including Keltie Cove for up to 70 guests. Soundproof bi-fold doors enables variety and flexibility for a range of celebrations.
The five-star hotel also offers unique venues such as the sixth floor Rooftop Pool & Lounge overlooking the bay with breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour. This serves as an exclusive outdoor setting for wedding ceremonies and private events for up to 100 guests. Designed as an exclusive hideaway, the Rooftop Pool & Lounge is an unforgettable place to soak up the sun, enjoy a cocktail at the bar or recline in a cabana with a glass of Champagne. Limestone splitrock walls, Turkish pots and neutral stone paving creates a Mediterranean feel to the space, with striped sun lounges and luxurious private cabanas by the pool completing the look.
Beautifully-designed Stillery bar is a contemporary bar and lounge with arched windows, bespoke furnishings and a marble bar stocked with one of the largest range of gins in Australia, while Stockroom Restaurant is an elegant venue for up to 70 guests seated, available for exclusive use for lunch or dinner, and offering a menu focused on locally-sourced produce. The private dining space, the Pantry is reminiscent of a beautiful, well stocked kitchen, with marble-topped chefs tables and mosaic tiled flooring, available for events of 20 seated or 40 standing.
More recently the luxury hotel has opened its beautiful French provincial-style Courtyard as a new and unique space for intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions. Located at the centre of the hotel, the Courtyard is now available for exclusive hire for events, such as elegant wedding ceremonies, cocktail celebrations and pre-wedding drinks. The secluded venue is reminiscent of a courtyard belonging to a French private residence, with stone paving, lush green trees, manicured fragrant gardens, ceramic feature urns and Parisian café-style furnishing, surrounded by cream walls and Juliet balconies.
