This couple always envisioned a big celebration for their wedding day. With some stunning styling and a sprinkling of fairy dust, Ruth and Daniel’s fairytale day came to life at Doltone House, Hyde Park.
Meant to be…
With mutual friends, the pair continued to cross paths, before hitting it off and soon it became clear that they had something special. “We had crossed paths a few times but had never spoken properly, it was on a night out in 2013 where it all began”, reveals Ruth, “we just had a connection and were inseparable ever since”. Three years later on a romantic tropical getaway, Daniel got down on one knee and proposed to Ruth.
A Cinderella Story…
The bride was a vision in a custom made Steven Khalil gown that was fit for a queen. Ruth certainly turned heads in this stunning couture creation with heavy beading and full skirt, completed with a classic sweetheart neckline and show-stopping train. Her gown was paired with a detailed veil perfectly matching her vision. “It felt surreal wearing my wedding gown it was exactly how I imagined it!” she says.
Big, beautiful and full of love…
From the outset, the couple dreamt of a wedding day that was the perfect mix of luxury and elegance but not exorbitant, with Doltone House Hyde Park providing just that. “We knew we would be having a big wedding and wanted it to be true to who we are. So we wanted it to be elegant and beautiful. Not too over the top, but still have a wow factor” says Ruth.
Monochrome and gold accents…
The colour palette for the couple’s big day was an elegant combination of gold and black paired with white accents. The couple dreamt of lashings of fresh florals, soft lighting and the use of candles to create a dreamy dappled light.
The tables at Doltone House were adorned with babies breath arrangements paired with white roses styled by John Emmanuel. They matched perfectly with floating tea lights and candles aplenty. This look was further enhanced at the bridal table with the addition of white orchids into the mix.
Keeping to the luxury theme of the day, guests were treated with acrylic gold place settings with custom made menus. Ruth & Daniel made their style that little bit more personal with a lavish monogrammed black gloss dance floor to tie into their monochrome and gold theme.
Remembering special moments…
Ruth’s one main piece of advice for couples planning their wedding? Take it all in!
“As a beautiful lady I know told me, enjoy and take in every moment possible. At the end of the day, it is about celebrating your love as a couple and coming together as one. I believe we did just that. Kiss each other as many times throughout the night”, she says.
“So when it came to the ceremony and our first dance, we really just focused on each other and it felt like it was just us two! It was so magical.”
