A N N A & P A T R I C K
Anna and Patrick celebrated their love with a breathtaking ceremony and seaside reception in beautiful Bali. With a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean, the Ungasan Clifftop Resort provided the perfect backdrop for the couples’ magical day. The bohemian luxe styled event incorporated the perfect mix of whimsical romance, paired with stunning traditional elements.
When Patrick Met Anna…
The couple first met through Anna’s cousin Ben while at casual drinks at the local bar. While Ben warned Patrick to stay away from Anna, sparks flew and the pair were undeniably drawn to one another. Despite spending time apart early on in the relationship, the pair were always drawn back together.
Harbourside Proposal…
One sunny day, Patrick surprised Anna with a private picnic overlooking Sydney Harbour. Joined by their puppy Hugo, the pair relaxed and spent the day taking in the stunning views and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. While Anna played with their puppy, Patrick secretly reached for the ring and popped the question. “It was just perfect, so laid back and relaxed” the couple explained. Too excited not to share the happy news, the newly engaged pair immediately called their friends and family to retell the story of their dream proposal.
The Perfect Moment…
The couple knew instantly that Danielle Symes was the perfect person to photograph their special day. Her relaxed photography style beautifully captured each special moment from the wedding. Views from the Ungasan Clifftop Resort provided a dreamy backdrop for these gorgeous images, each which will be treasured forever.
Whimsical Romance…
The ceremony took place at the beautiful Villa Tamarama at the Ungason Clifftop Resort in Uluwatu, Bali. Here, the couples’ personal style was enhanced by the locations natural beauty. Opting for a luxe twist on a bohemian theme, the pair incorporated white, taupe and blush tones to complement their use of beach wood and pampas grass. The combination of traditional and coastal style was exactly what the couple envisioned for their special day.
Before The Big Day…
In the week leading up to the wedding, Anna and Patrick made sure their guests had plenty of opportunity to celebrate together. Inviting their wedding party to join them for an incredible candlelit barbecue the night before the wedding helped everyone unwind before the big day.
Love At First Sight…
The Harlie gown by Made With Love Bridal was the first gown the bride tried on. Immediately, Anna knew it was the dress of her bridal dreams. Detailed with beautiful Israeli lace over a bone coloured underlay, the intricate design gave a modern feel to a timeless silhouette. The bride created her own unique ceremony dress by pairing the gown with a tulle skirt overlay. The combination perfectly captured the brides own personal style. As the evening continued, the bride opted for a flowy, bohemian style lace dress from Spell so she could dance the night away.
The Squad…
Anna’s bridesmaids wore white, high neck designs by Shona Joy. The elegant design perfectly complemented the blush toned florals throughout the ceremony. The groomsmen looked sharp in their traditional black tuxedos by Institchu. Villa Tamarama created a stunning backdrop for photos of the beautiful wedding party!
Dreams Into Reality…
With some ideas of their own, the couple were able to collaborate with Weddings by The Ungasan planner Megan Truskett to bring their vision to life. Together they created a colour palette of gorgeous neutrals and pinks with hints of green and white. Bloomz Flowers Bali curated the perfect mix of both dried and fresh flowers for the day. They seamlessly integrated the dried florals and pampas grass into the ceremony location and throughout their reception venue.
Blissful Bali…
Located on a magnificent clifftop, the Seletan Lawn featured endless ocean views for the couples’ guests to admire throughout the evening. When the reception wrapped up, celebrations continued down at Sunday’s Beach Club. Truly a tropical oasis on the shore-front, the beach club was the perfect place to come together. Each element of the wedding boasted romantic tones and was beautifully put together by the sensational styling team at Weddings by the Ungasan.
Just Us Two…
While the entire day was magical, the pair felt that the most memorable moment was looking into each other’s eyes walking down the aisle. “The feeling in that very moment was just so incredible and something we will both cherish for the rest of our lives” the couple tells us.
Words of Wisdom…
Anna and Patrick have some great advice to share from their wedding journey. “Take the time to enjoy the excitement of being engaged first, the wedding planning can wait!” When it comes the the big day, “Step back and take a moment to appreciate it all, it’ll be over before you know it.”
