Beautifully intertwining ageless traditions and a la mode trends, this shoot by Lace Petals and Hearts adds an elegant bohemian twist on the relaxed beach wedding.
“I wanted to create the ultimate setting while still allowing movement for chatter, celebration, dancing and fun,” reveals stylist Jess Griffiths of Lace Petals and Hearts. Taking the wedding convention of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’, she reinvented it, pairing antique candlesticks with modern marble plates, and an earthy colour palette of pale pinks, gold, beige, and coffee with a hint of blue amongst the vast white salt lakes of Western Australia.
The Little Things: Napkins were tied with twine and finished with a hand-embellished white feather, paired with luxe gold cutlery and crystal glassware.
The relaxed picnic setting was layered with rugs and ottomans for an intimate ambience, and the gasp-worthy canopy decorated with a macramé backdrop, Edison bulbs, and a shell chandelier. A mix of blooms including natives, soft delicate tulips, peonies and roses echoes the style fusion of antique, bohemian and rustic décor with soft, shabby chic textile elements.
