A little while ago I asked our brides for questions to put to our experts. I received an interesting question asking for styling ideas that don’t involve chair covers.
I’m not about to declare that no-one needs to purchase chair covers! Before you decide not to invest in these you need to ensure that the chairs at your venue are going to be pretty enough as they are, that they are not office-looking chairs or boring conference style. The last thing you want is for your guests to walk into what looks like a staff meeting!
If your venue’s chairs are quite respectable here are some gorgeous ideas on how to make them beautiful!
Chair backs are a good way to add decoration! Clusters of pretty pink and white flowers tied with a satin ribbon add a splash of soft colour for a relaxed summer wedding. Make sure they are attached securely to avoid them falling off and ruining when guests take their seat!
This is a perfect chair decoration for a garden wedding, the vibrant butterflies glow beautifully in the warm sunshine. Attach them to the backs of your chairs with large sticky dots or double sided tape. These butterflies can be found at Clear Cut Crafts.
These are probably best suited to creating an aisle. The pretty handles on the jars can be made by threading seashells and crystals onto a 40cm thin piece of wire and tying it to the rim of the jar with string.
Pretty paper rosettes, tied to the back of the guests chairs and stamped with their initials adds a personal touch and helps guests find their seats more easily.

I hope this has inspired you to think outside the square when it comes to the little details of styling your reception or ceremony.
Have a wonderful Easter Modettes!
