Oh Sunday, the day of rest, sometimes pancakes and today DIY! Take a trip to your local arts and craft store for supplies and enjoy some time working with your hands on this simple wood craft project.
The delicate shades of the wood and the ease of working with such a soft timber makes it effortless to create tasteful tags or labels for your gifts. Balsa wood, a craft knife, ruler, rubber stamps and a hole punch is all you need. Cut tags in various shapes from the balsa wood using the ruler and craft knife. Some pressure is needed to cut through the balsa wood, so a metal ruler is preferable to provide a solid edge to run the knife along and produce a cleaner cut. Punch a hole in one end for ties, decorate the tags with stamps or hand-written labels and tie with tassels, ribbons or string.
